The first Pro Tour in New Jersey is over and we have the top decks ready for you to analyze or to try out in Table Top Simulator. The top 8 include a little surprise.
First of all, congrats to Pablo Pintor from Spain, who won the first Pro Tour with Chane! He took down Starvo in the Final for the win. Very impressive performance and it also put Europe as a competitive region on the map.
These are all the Decks and Decklists that made it into the Top 8 of the Pro Tour
While Bravo, Star of the Show was the most played hero and the most represented hero in the Top 8, Chane still took down two of them. More surprising though, were the two Kano decks in the Top 8. Kano was not a Deck which a lot of people had on their radar.
This is how the bracket looked like
Metagame for Day 1
Metagame for Day 2
Nothing unexpected when it comes to the Meta Breakdown. It is basically on par with our Tier estimation, the only standout Hero was Kano. Not in terms of representation, but rather in terms of dominance in most matchups. Even with two of them reaching Top 8, Kano still lands in Tier 4 according to our algorithm. We still need more data to identify if this was just a fluke, or if Kano is really stronger than most people (and our algorithm) expected.
